Clima tropical de dos estaciones. La estación seca en Malaui dura de mayo a octubre y la estación lluviosa, de noviembre a abril. El clima es más cálido y húmedo durante la temporada de lluvias. Las precipitaciones en Malaui son abundantes en todo el territorio, principalmente en la zona de relieves y en el noroeste del país. Las temperaturas son elevadas en el llano y frescas en las zonas altas.
